Four part series begins January 12 and continues Jan 19, 26, Feb 2nd
10 am to noon, Ames Public Library.
Genealogy is a research process. Understanding the basic fundamentals of that process and organization of your work and findings will help you succeed! In this four part series of classes, students will learn about organization, documentation and the research process.
Students will learn genealogy terminology, citing the source of your research findings, how to extract and evaluate the info you find too. You'll also learn about online resources and traditional hunting at courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, churches and more!
This is small class, interactive with lots of individual attention. Genealogy Research Fundamentals is a consecutive series, not a drop in class. There is a text, some homework too and you'll be provided a filing binder and plenty of handouts.
